Fix: VMware Workstation Have no Internet Access

Have no Internet access in Virtual Machine? The internet connection normally in your host, while the inside virtual machine can’t connect to internet. If you’re having problems getting connected to a network and can’t get onto the Internet in Virtual Machine, here are 2 options you can try:


No Internet access

Option 1: Enable VMware NAT Service on Host PC

What if VMware NAT Service on host operating system is disabled and stoped, there is no Internet access to Virtual machine. To enable vMware NAT service, here's how:

Step 1: Open Computer Management.

In Windows 10, press Windows logo+X, then press M key on keyboard.

In Windows 7, right-click on Computer on Start menu, then select Manage.

Step 2: Click Services and Applications. Then, double-click Services in the right pane.

Step 3: Scroll down and double-click VMware NAT Service to open its Properties.

Step 4: In the Startup type list, select Automatic. Click Apply button. Then, click Start button under Services status. When done, click OK.

Option 2: Enable Network Adapter in VMware Machine

If the previous option didn’t work, try to check whether network adapter in virtual machine is disabled.

Step 1: Open Control Panel.

Step 2: In Control Panel, click on Network and Internet.

Step 3: Then click Network and Sharing Center > Change adapter setting.

Step 4: Then check if it is enabled, if not, Enable this network device.
