I have a used but almost new Windows 10 Acer laptop and want to sell it. It has my sensitive files, so I want to restore it to factory settings before selling. Now my problem is that I forgot the password and can't log in to Windows 10. How do I factory reset Acer laptop without the password? I have no recovery disc. Thanks for any help!

Way 1: Factory reset Acer laptop Windows 10 using Alt + F10 on boot

This way will allow you to factory reset your Acer laptop without having to access Windows 10. It is a great option for you, if you don't have the password, or if your Windows 10 can't start up properly, or if you just like a quick and easy way.

Step 1: Shut down your Acer laptop.

Step 2: Press the Power button to turn on your Acer laptop while holding down Alt + F10 keys on your keyboard. Wait a while and your Acer laptop will boot to the Choose an option screen.

Step 3: Choose Troubleshoot > Reset this PC > Remove everything.
