I recently had to change the password for one of my email accounts. I successfully changed it on the email provider's site, but I cannot see how to update the password on my iPhone runs iOS 13. Is there any way to change email password on iPhone.
Most people rely on e-mail in daily life and work. Your email password allows you to access every email service you use. When you suspect that someone may know your password or your account has been compromised. You can follow this tutorial to change the email password on iPhone. It is best to update your password regularly and make sure that it is unique from other passwords you use.
If you set up iCloud Keychain and added your email account information to it, the following steps apply.
Step 1: Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad. Scroll down, then tap Passwords.
Step 2: Enter your iPhone's passcode, or verify your identity with Face ID, Touch ID, or passcode to view saved passwords.
Step 3: Scroll down the list of added passwords and tap on google.com (If you use Yahoo, Outlook, Hey, or any other email account, please tap on their appropriate name).
Step 4: If your current Gmail password is weak, reused, or appeared in a data breach, you will see a warning in Security Recommendation. Tap on Change Password on Website. (after this go to Step 5 below)
Step 5: If you do not see any warning but still wish to change the password, then under WEBSITE, tap on the tiny Safari icon next to accounts.google.com.
Step 6: Depending on whether you are logged in to your Gmail account in Safari or not, you will see either the login page or the Google Account page.
Step 7: If you see the login page, enter your current password (or add it from iCloud Keychain after authenticating with Face ID, Touch ID, or passcode) and tap on Next. Now, enter the new password and finally tap CHANGE PASSWORD.
Step 8: If you see the Google Accounts page (usually happens when you tap on the tiny Safari icon in Step 5), tap on Personal info > PASSWORD, manually enter your current password or let iCloud Keychain do it for you. Finally, type the new password twice and tap on CHANGE PASSWORD.
In this case, you will have to visit the email website in a web browser like Safari. Or, you can open that email's official app and change the password. The follow steps explain how to change your email password in Yahoo! app.
Step 1: Open the Yahoo mail app, tap on the Menu icon, tap Manage Accounts > Account Info.
Step 2: Tap Security Settings. This is located under the Account Security tab.
Step 3: Enter your security code. If you've enabled Touch ID or face ID, you may be able to use one of these methods to verify your password instead.
Step 4: Click Change Password. Then, click I would rather change my password. Enter your new password then click Continue.
