After installing or upgrading to Windows 10, verifying its activation status is crucial. If Windows 10 is not activated, you will be unable to perform various tasks, including personalizing your Windows 10. This page outlines four methods to check if your Windows 10 is activated.


Method 1: Check Windows 10 Activation Status via Settings App

Step 1: Click the Start menu and select Settings to open the Settings panel.

Step 1: Access Control Panel in Windows 10, type system in the search box, and click System.

Step 1: Search for cmd in Cortana and click on Command Prompt to open it.

Step 2: Type slmgr /xpr and press Enter. A dialog box will appear, indicating whether your Windows 10 is permanently activated or not.

Step 1: Press Win + R to open the Run dialog box.

Step 2: Type slmgr.vbs –xpr and click OK. A new dialog box will display, showing whether your Windows 10 is permanently activated.

Tips: Typing slmgr.vbs –dlv and pressing Enter will display more detailed activation information about your Windows 10.
