For some reasons, you may want to reinstall Windows 10, you will be glad to know that you can now legally and directly download the latest version of Windows 10 ISO for free right from Microsoft with ease. This post provides 3 easy and quick way to do that.

Way 1: Using Chrome Developer Tool Responsive Option

The official Microsoft Windows 10 ISO download page displays different content depending on the device you are accessing to the download page. When you access the download page from a PC running Windows 10/8/7, the download page URL gives you a link to download the media creation tool, which is allowing you to download the ISO. The same URL, if you access it from a Mac or Windows Phone, you will get the direct Windows 10 ISO file download option instead of the option to download the media creation tool.

If you want to download Windows 10 ISO from Microsoft without using the Media Creation Tool. You can simply disguise your PC as a Windows Phone or Mac machine by changing the default user agent in your web browser. Here’s how to get it done.

Step 1: Open the Chrome browser and go to the official Windows 10 ISO download page.

Step 2: Open the developer tools with F12.

Step 3: Click on the phone & table icon in the developer tool (Ctrl Shift M).

Step 4: Then click Responsive on the download page and select iPad Pro. What we are doing here is acting as if we are not on Windows, but on iOS. It forces the Microsoft download page to provide a direct download link.

Step 5: Next, select the Windows version, language, and click the Download button to download the latest Windows 10 ISO you need. It will now provide you with a link to the ISO file instead of asking you to download the media creation tool.

Way 2: Using Edge Developer Tool Emulation Option

Step 1: Open the Edge browser and then go to the official ISO download page.

Step 2: Open the developer tools with F12.

Step 3: In the Developer Tools, switch to the Emulation tab. In the Browse profile, select Windows Phone from the drop-down dialog, and then select Microsoft Edge – Windows Phone 10 from the User-agent string drop-down dialog.

Step 4: Edge will automatically reload the page. If not, refresh the page (URL) immediately to view the “Download Windows 10 Disc Image” page. Choose your Windows 10 version (the May 1903 Update is the latest version) and then click Confirm button.

Step 5: Next, you will see Select the Product Language page. Choose your language and then Confirm button.

Step 6: Finally, click the 32-bit Download or 64-bit Download (depending on the type of Windows 10 you want to install and run on your PC) to start downloading the Windows 10 ISO image file.

Way 3: Using the Media Creation Tool to Create Windows ISO Image

it’s easy to download the Windows 10 ISO using the media creation tool because you just need to make an ISO image in a few clicks.

Step 1: Visit the Windows 10 download page on Microsoft’s website.

Step 3: Open MediaCreationTool.exe when it’s finished downloading.

The Media Creation Tool is very small, so it takes only a few seconds to download. However, you haven’t downloaded Windows 10 just yet.

Step 4: Open the Windows 10 Setup program. If you agree to the license terms, select Accept. On the “What do you want to do page” select Create installation media for another PC and then select Next.

Step 5: Select the language, edition, and architecture (64-bit or 32-bit) for Windows 10.

Step 6: Choose ISO file on the Choose which media to use screen, then select Next. Decide where to have the Windows 10 ISO image stored and then select Save to immediately start the download.

Once downloaded, you’ll have a legal and full version of Windows 10 in ISO format. You can then burn that ISO image to a disc to install later or use it directly with your virtual machine software.
