How to Adjust Text Screen to fit in Windows 10

It's great to be able to set appropriate scaling for different size monitors and have it work. Learn to change your PC's font, change the size of menus and icons in Windows 10 by accessing the display properties menu to adjust the computer settings from the pose. You can also just change the text size for certain items without affecting anything else.

Part 1: Resize the display text

Step 1: Right-click on desktop and select Display setting.

Step 2: Use the slider to change the size of text, app, and other items. It might be set to 150% by default. Dragging the slider to adjust the size of text, apps, and other items.

Choose one of the following:

  • Smaller - 100% (default). This keeps text and other items at normal size.
  • Medium - 125%. This sets text and other items to 125% of normal size.
  • Larger - 150%. This sets text and other items to 150% of normal size. This option appears only if your monitor supports a resolution of at least 1200 x 900 pixels.

Step 3: Tap or click the Apply button. A window pops up to let you know that signing out of Windows and signing back in is recommended.

Tips: You can use the built-in Magnifier to temporarily enlarge part of your screen. You can quickly open it by pressing Win + the Plus sign(+) to zoom in and Win + Minus sign(-) to zoom out. Use Win + Esc to exit the magnifier.

Part 2: Change only the text size Windows 10

If you don't want to change the size of everything on desktop, it's possible to just change the text size for these specific items:

4. Select the item you want to change in the drop-down list and choose the text size. You also check the box to make it bold.
