Restart your iPhone<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You can use one of the following methods to turn your iPhone off, then back on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To restart your iPhone X, 11, or 12<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Press and hold either the volume button and the side button until the power off slider appears.<\/li><li>Drag the slider, then wait 30 seconds for your device to turn off.<\/li><li>To turn your device back on, press and hold the side button (on the right side of your iPhone) until you see the Apple logo.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>To restart iPhone SE (2nd generation), 8, 7, 6, iPhone SE or earlier<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Press and hold the Side (or Top) button until the power off slider appears.<\/li><li>Drag the slider, then wait 30 seconds for your device to turn off.<\/li><li>To turn your device back on, press and hold the Side (or Top) button until you see the Apple logo.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"opt3\">3. Reinsert the SIM card<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Maybe you did not insert the SIM card correctly. Therefore, remove the SIM and then reinsert it again. First, turn off your iPhone, then use the SIM-eject tool to remove the SIM card. Then, reinsert it. Check for a Carrier Settings update<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Carrier providers often roll out updates to sort out problems and even improve performance. Do check if an update has hit your device. If it has, make sure to update carrier settings sooner than later. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To manually check for and install a&nbsp;carrier settings update:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Make sure that your device is connected to a Wi-Fi or cellular network.<\/li><li>Tap <strong>Settings<\/strong> &gt; <strong>General<\/strong> &gt; <strong>About<\/strong>.
