If you don\u2019t remember your screen time password, and you are using macOS Catalina 10.15.4 or iOS 13.4 and later, you can use a new feature to change the forgotten screen time passcode <\/a><\/strong>with an Apple ID. For earlier macOS, iOS, and iPadOS versions, or if you have never set an Apple ID to reset the screen time password, Apple recommends that you wipe and wipe the device, and then set it as a new device to remove the screen time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to change Screen Time Passcode if forgot it<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Make sure that your device is updated to iOS 13.4 or iPadOS 13.4 or later<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Go to Settings<\/strong> > Screen Time<\/strong>. <\/li>
  2. Tap Change Screen Time Passcode<\/strong>, then tap Change Screen Time Passcode<\/strong> again.<\/li>
  3. Tap Forgot Passcode<\/strong> link.<\/li>
  4. Enter the Apple ID and password<\/strong> that you used to set up the Screen Time passcode.<\/li>
  5. Enter a new Screen Time passcode<\/strong>, then enter it again to confirm.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Change the Screen Time passcode for your child’s device<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      If you\u2019re using Family Sharing<\/strong> to manage a child\u2019s account, passcode reset options won\u2019t be available on their device. Use the following steps on the family organizer’s device to reset the Screen Time passcode for your child.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. On your device go to Settings > Screen Time ><\/strong> your child\u2019s name<\/strong>.<\/li>
      2. Tap Change Screen Time Passcode<\/strong>, then tap Change Screen Time Passcode again. <\/li>
      3. Authenticate<\/strong> the change with Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode.<\/li>
