How to Use Find My Friends to Track Someone's Location

This post will show you how to track someone's location with your iPhone/iPad. If you want to track that person's location, you can invite them, after they accept your invitation, you can start tracking their location.


Part 1: Track Someone's Location with Your iPhone

Find My Friend is a great spy tool for parents, it can be used to track the location of any Apple device your friends or family member. Here's how:

Step 1: Enable "Share My Location" on both your friends' iPhone and yours.

Open the Find My Friends app, tap on the contact picture at the bottom of the screen. Then, turn on "Share My Location".

Step 2: Add friends from Find My Friends app.

Tap Add. Next, choose a friend or enter their email address, then tap Send or Done to send the request.

Step 3: Accept the location sharing request.

After your friend agrees to share their location, you can see their location in a list or on a map in the Find My Friends app, or on iCloud.com.

Part 2: How to Hide Your Location from Find My Friends

In order to keep privacy, you can stop sharing your location so that you can hide from your followers.

To do: Open Find My Friends and tap Me. Then turn off Share My Location. Tap Done. You'll see Not sharing location next to Me.
