Shutdown iPhone/iPad without Pressing the Power Button

How to Shutdown iPhone/iPad with Assistive Touch

Before you can use Assistive Touch to turn off iPhone/iPad, you need to set up Assistive Touch. If you have not turned Assistive Touch on yet, go to enable it as follows. Learn more ways to enable Assistive Touch.

Step 1: Go to Settings.

Step 2: Tap on Generally > Accessibility > AssistiveTouch.

Step 3: Then switch AssistiveTouch on. You should see a white icon displays on the iPhone screen.

Turn on Assistive Touch

Once enabled Assistive Touch on your device, you can shutdown your iPhone/iPad without having to press the Lock button or Power button, see the exact steps below:

Step 1: Tap the AssistiveTouch menu and then tap Device.

Step 2: Then touch and hold Lock Screen until "slide to power off” appears.
