There are many ways to copy the videos and photos from iPhone to your computer, for example, you can transfer photos and videos via the third-party tool, like Dropbox, Email, or sync via iTunes. While this article will show you the easiest way to import photos and videos to computer via USB cable.
If you have cable at hand, you can easily transfer photos and videos from your iPhone/iPad to your Mac. These steps below work for importing images or videos to Mac without using iCloud Photo Library.
Step 1: Connect iPhone/iPad to computer with a USB cable.
Step 2: You might see a prompt on iPhone/iPad asking you to Trust This Computer. Tap Allow to continue.
Step 3: On your Mac, the Photos app automatically opens. If it doesn't, open the Photos app.
Step 4: The Photos app shows an Import screen with all the photos and videos that are on your connected device.
Tip 1: If the Import screen doesn't automatically appear, click the Import tab at the top of the Photos app.
Step 5: To import all new photos, click Import All New Photos.
Tip 2: You can also check the box beside Delete items if you wish to automatically delete the photos on your iPhone after importing. Or click Keep Items to keep them on the device.

Step 3: On Windows PC, it immediately pops up with a dialog asking us if we want to import items from our iPhone.
Step 4: If you don’t have a photos application installed, open File Explorer and browse to your PC’s directory. Right-click on your device and then select Import pictures and videos.
Step 5: When the Import Pictures and Videos window prompts, select Import all new items now, then click Import.
All of the photos in your iPhone/iPad will be imported to computer.
