Save Time with Win+X Keyboard Shortcuts in Windows 10

Here is the list of some useful Windows key +X keyboard shortcuts that can be used to launch several programs and make our task easier.

1. Use Windows key+X to Sign out, Reboot and Shutdown your Window 10 PC

Hold down Windows key +X and U from the desktop and Windows 10 brings up The shutdown options menu, then do one of following options:

  • option 1: press S to sign out your PC.
  • option 2: press U to shut down your PC.
  • option 3: press R to Restart your computer.

2. Use Windows key + X to open a new Command Prompt

Hold down Windows key +X and C at the same time and Command Prompt window will open.

3. Use Windows key +X to open elevated Command Prompt/Windows PowerShell

Hold down Windows key +X and A from the desktop and you can easily launch command prompt(Admin). If you have enabled replaced Command Prompt with PowerShell, it brings up Windows PowerShell(Admin)

4. Open Programs and Features

Hold down Windows key +X and F on the keyboard and you can easily open Programs and Features window.

Hold down Windows key +X and O on the keyboard and you can easily access to Power Options window.
