What if Forget Password for Apple ID Using 2-factor Authentication

If you happened to forget Apple ID password, you can reset or change your password from your trusted device and from web browser. This article will show you how to reset forgotten password for Apple ID with two-factor authentication enabled.

Reset your Forgotten Password from the Trusted iPhone 

If you have two-factor authentication enabled for your Apple ID, you can reset or change your password directly from your trusted iPhone/iPad.

Step 1: Go to Settings > iCloud. Tap your Apple ID.

Step 2: Tap Password & Security.

Step 3: Tap on Change Password.

Step 4: Enter your passcode.

Step 5: Create a new password. You can force all devices and website using your Apple ID to sign out.

Step 6: After you reset or changed your password, you'll be prompted to sign in again with your new password.

It is recommend to update the new password in Settings for all of your Apple apps and services. For example, go to Settings > iTune & App Store. Enter your new password when it prompts.
