Where does iTunes store backups? If you back up your iPhone/iPad via iTunes, how do you know where does iTunes store the backup files? This tutorial will show you how to find and view iTunes backup files on Mac and Windows PC.

Part 1: Find iTunes | Finder Backup Files on Mac

Finder and iTunes save backups to a Backup folder. The location of the Backup folder varies by operating system. Though you can copy the Backup folder, you should never move it to a different folder, external drive, or network drive. Don't edit, relocate, rename, or extract content from your backup files, because these actions might ruin the files.

Option 1: Go to Backup Folders from Search bar

Step 1: Click search bar in the menu bar

Step 2: Type or copy and paste this: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/

Step 3: Press Return. It will open the folder that contains the iTunes backup files.
