How to Enable/Disable Restrictions on iPhone/iPad

Restrictions is designed to block or limit specific apps and features on your iPhone/iPad. This article will show you how to enable/disable restrictions mode on iOS device.

Part 1: Enable Restrictions on iPhone/iPad

With this settings, you can hide certain apps from the Home screen.

Step 1: Go to Settings > General.

Step 2: Tap on Restrictions, then tap Enable Restriction.

Step 3: Create a Restrictions passcode. Re-enter Restrictions passcode.

Set a four-digits passcode

Once enabled Restrictions, you could prevent your kids or others from ever using certain apps(you don't see that app on the Home screen like Safari, Camera, or FaceTime), content types and ratings, device functions (like deleting apps), privacy settings.

Part 2: Disable Restrictions on iPhone/iPad

 If you're missing an app or feature, or can't use a certain service, try turning Restrictions off. You need Restrictions passcode to turn it off.

Step 1: Go to Settings > General > Restrictions. Enter your Restrictions passcode.

Step 2: Tap on Disable Restrictions. Enter Restrictions passcode on Turn Off screen.

Note: If you've forgot restriction passcode, you have to erase your iPhone/iPad.
